Remember there are 130,000 pcv & 600,000 lgv drivers that need to undergo periodic training.  
'Grandfather rights' are not as they may seem, by September 2013 all current PCV drivers MUST have COMPLETED 35 hours of periodic Training. (2014 for LGV Drivers)
What is it going to cost? well, for the first year until 9th september 2009 the cost is only:
1 x 7 Hour Course per driver = £100 + VAT
Complete 5 x 7 Hour courses per driver = £500 + VAT
Price includes the admin charges levied by the DSA for updating data and issuing the Drivers Qualification Card after completing 35 Hours

NEWS     -      'Appointed Person' Emergency First Aid Course  is now open to those people NOT involved in the Driver CPC and the cost is only £75.00 + Vat per person

It is expected that prices will rise over the following
5 years to 2013 as demand outstrips supply of training companies to train the drivers who are holding back until the last year.

Once we confirm availability with you,
we ask for a non-refundable deposit of:
 £25 per driver for each 7 hour course
or £100 per driver for the full 35 hours
to reserve your place and the price agreed.

In the unlikely event of cancellation due to insufficient candidates for a
 particular course, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and arrange an alternative date with you.

classroom A certificate valid for 3 years will be issued for the
 'Appointed Person / Emergency First Aid ' Course.
Who is the Appointed Person Emergency First Aid course aimed at? Benefits to your organisation:
The course is a one day course for those who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid.
It encompasses the essential knowledge to deal with life threatening emergencies in the workplace.
Delegates will cover a structured set of skills which are required for HSE accreditation which lasts for 3 years.
All learning is well structured and progressive and the course adviser will carry out ongoing assessments.
Some of the skills covered in the course include:
Aims & Principles of First Aid and the
responsibilities of the appointed person
Breathing & Circulation
Primary & Secondary Assessments Principles of Resusitation
Causes of unconsciousness and the
management of the casualty
Airway Obstruction
